MyMIT website down...

<p>Wow, MIT deadline for EA applicants is tomorrow at 11:59 PM, and just now I got this error message trying to access the site: </p>

<p>The MyMIT web site is down temporarily for extensive maintenance. It is scheduled to be back up at the end of today. We apologize for any inconvenience.</p>

<p>Please visit our new online admissions community at mitadmissions.org. </p>

<p>What is going on here? I'm scared that I'm not going to be able to submit part 2 of my application in time.</p>

<p>This happens every year (I think). If technical difficulties persist up till the deadline, MIT will extend the deadline. That has definitely happened before. </p>

<p>Moral of the story: try to beat admission deadlines by several days.</p>
