I submitted my ED application on the 24th, and have already gotten an interview appointment scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The problem is, I still haven't gotten an email with a MyPenn applicant portal login id and password. When did other people receive theirs? Is this something that I should email the Penn staff about?

i’m in the same boat. i submitted my app on the 25th and common app confirms everything is a green checkmark. i got an interview email but no penn portal yet. i think its fine, someone else said she waited 2 weeks before she got her login

My daughter sent her application to UPenn on 10/21 and has not received her Portal ID or been contacted for an interview. Did you apply electronically or via a paper application? She used the paper application and sent it all together with the teacher recommendations, transcripts, etc. I’m wondering if applying electronically makes the whole process faster.

Does anyone know if they go by the postmark or the actual date the application arrives? The postal service has been really, really slow and I just found out her application arrived in Philadelphia today (12 days after mailing it! It should have arrived in 3 days) so it won’t get to UPenn for another day. From what I was told from the admissions people, they have bins and bins of applications that have still not been processed, even though they were postmarked 10/18ish. I was told not to worry, since the postmark is 10/21, but it is extremely frustrating for the application to be taking so long to arrive!

I applied electronically- it was very convenient.
And my interview was great! My interviewer was a young, artsy woman in her early 30s-she was extremely nice and very nice to chat with. We met at a Starbucks, so it was pretty casual. We had a lot of commonalities and it turns out we share an interest in photography. She actually asked me to send her some of my pictures, and she sent me some of hers. I’m guessing it’s a good sign that we had a lot to talk about.
