Facebook I wander around on briefly almost every day, but I spend more total time on CC...

It's very sad.

Myspace, thank god, is low on my priorities list.

Facebook I wander around on briefly almost every day, but I spend more total time on CC...

It's very sad.

Myspace, thank god, is low on my priorities list.

Myspace is stupid, I used to have one but I deleted it. To me it was all fun for the first two weeks, getting new friends, looking at ppl's profiles etc, but then I would find that I would go on... and that would be it. There was nothing to do. Yeah sometimes I'd have new comments, but I would read them, post a comment in return, then just be sitting there. CC is WAY better. There is so much more stuff u can do, whether helping ppl out in the "What are my Chances?" thread, reading advice on how to survive high school, or just participating in one of the so-called "Games." CC ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

CC, then facebook, and then myspace (like 10 minutes a month, lol)

Myspace is overated, it's been out since 2004, and now everybody knows about it.

Seeing as how I have no myspace, CC is automatically better.

CC, definitely.

I just use myspace to keep in touch with old friends, etc. I'm not on there much, though. Aout 10 minutes every 2-3 days.

Myspace made me sick after so many "Unexpected Error" messages I had to read. The error has been sent to the myspace technical center? Then why would I still see the same message 5 minutes later?

That's why I deleted my account :)

Cc .

CC...myspace got kinda old after awhile.

CC...then facebook

Myspace is so freshman year XD

MySpace is worse than alcohol, tobacco and pot taken together. Self-made "designs" are killing me and me eyes.

I enjoy myspace groups.. I have like 4 different myspaces for different reasons. lol I spend more time on myspace, but CC's cool.

Whoops. Need to alter my rankings. I'm focusing on communication, not journal type entries.

Forums > Messengers > Chatrooms > IRC (Internet Relay Channels) > Facebook > Blogs = Usenet = Groups >>>>>>>>> Myspace = BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems).

Forums - like CC, these are easy to use, easy to manage, can be separated into sub-forums that allow for like-minded people to congregate, and usually move at a decent pace, so that most posts have some thought behind them. Past posts are stored, so that conversations can easily be continued, and one can see all of what has already been said to get context. Basically, the best of Usenet, IRC, and BBS. Immense win.

Messenger - you can pick and choose who to talk to - a big plus, when one reflects on the people one encounters online. Easy to use, fair-paced, but can be a hassle when trying to talk to multiple people. Wins.

Chatrooms - can be divided into subsections like forums, and moves a lot faster - can move too fast, though, and leads to inane messages and far too much shorthand. Also, most drop the user into the middle of conversations, leading to annoying rehash. Overall though, wins.

IRC - are divided by interest, and people who are disruptive can be kicked by mods. However, this leads to problems in discussion, since mods are more particular to their channel and how it is run (like a personal forum), kicking people they disagree with. Also, tends to be VERY weird and asinine. Past messages are not stored, as with chatrooms. Draw.

Facebook - eh, mostly that there are better ways of communicating. Facebook is more of a showcase personal space thing. Only here because people do actually use it to communicate. Draw.

Blogs - see Facebook, but with less capabilities when it comes to communication. Draw.

Usenet/Groups - outdated. However, still somewhat fun, if for nostalgia and whatnot. Also, functions largely like a forum (predecessor to forums, actually). Draw.

Myspace - y'all know this already; I don't like to rehash. FAILS.

BBS's - I wouldn't mind them if not for the HORRID templates that these things have. Also, many don't cope well with page-stretch issues. Quoting doesn't work very well, and it lacks many of the capabilities of forums (actually, it is the other predecessor of forums). It does vary - some are much better than others, but since a substantial number suck, overall, FAILS.

ROFL, my geekiness is showing! :p

lol seems like everyone here is facebook > myspace. i had a myspace in like 2003 when it first came out but then everyone started using it and i deleted mine. i now only use facebook. i, like everyone else here will have to say

facebook > CC >>>>>>>>>>>>> myspace

^ same here, i left myspace when everyone flooded it

Used myspace for about one year, then deleted it one day in the summer because I was in my room all the time instead of outside doing things (anything is better than being holed up and obsessively browsing myspace). So, I obviously prefer to waste time on CC at this point.

Why would you delete your myspace when everyone else got one....isn't the whole point to communicate with friends?

I like CC way better than myspace. Although both are addicting, CC is at least a little informative. I think it's so much better to talk annonymously and to people all around the globe. It just gives you a broader sense of the world. Myspace is what, you talk with your best friends through comments which are a pain to leave anyway? CC is so much better

I'm usually on CC and Myspace at the same time, so I like both equally.

Myspace for social reasons
CC for great help, tips, guides, and opinions from your peers...really smart peers.
