Myspace...what do you think of it

unfortunately that's the "in" thing to do on MySpace. Everyone is a photographer. Everyone has the obligatory bathroom (and sometimes dirty mirror) picture, popped collars, and facial expressions as if they were sucking on lemons

Haha, that is sooooooo true!

But I have a myspace, and I love it, and I don't care :p. But yeah, I can't stand these random guys that try to friend me. I mean, I know I have a lot of friends (but only around 150) but that's because I either know them, or it's a band, and I happen to know a lot of kids from neighboring schools. And just because your school is in my area, does not mean that I want to get to know you, or be your friend!

Myspace makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. All the pictures of ugly kids trying to look good is sooo funny, and all their really pathetic thoughts. The human ability to talk about oneself is unlimited.

i detest myspace. nuff said.

I like MySpace. My dad's in the military, so I've moved all over the place and it's nice to be able to keep in contact with everyone and see what's going on in all the different places I've been.

Though if I hadn't discovered that I could cover over that myspace template with division layers, I definitely wouldn't love it as much haha

MySpace is cool, but it gets really addicting.

Currently, It takes about one minute just to load a MySpace page (something happened to my computer recently... weird). I guess that's a good thing. Prevents me from checking.

i like myspace. most people i know never check their e-mail, but they always check their myspace so it's easy enough to send messages, especially to people i don't normally see every day.

i think everyone hear for the most part is missing the point.

myspace is an online profile for you to have and share with your friends. myspace is an EXCELLENT way to stay in touch with friends when going off to college, for example, or to meet new people that might live near you or that you might even be related to! It happened to my cousins.

not everyone on that thing is a crazy weirdo. pictures and personal information is not a big helper, but its not like you don't give away personal infomration all the time.

but don't get me wrong, blogs are also wonderful as well. it is a great way for people to keeps tabs on you if they aren't able to pick up a telephone.

myspace, if used correctly ("a place for FRIENDS")... it is a wonderful thing.

if used for the attitude... "i have a billion friends and i am SO HOT XXX and COOL"... then you are a loser and need to leave.

my two cents deposited.
thanks!

I like MySpace. I use it to keep in touch with friends. I'm careful not to post too much personal stuff, and I'd never do a stupid boob pic or anything like that. Every single person I'm MySpace friends with I know and like in real life. Yes, there are stupid people on MySpace. But there are stupid people Everywhere. Get over it.

Myspace's emo crowd is ridiculous. I'm gonna use it till i get my NYU email address, get my facebook account, then delete most my info from it.

I love myspace.

I guess you'd hate it if you had no use for it, but I moved from Cali a couple years ago.

Ergo, I found A TON of friends I've lost touch with. Amazing.

I love blogging on it, even if no one comments. It's one place where I can a) blog, b) find info on the whereabouts of a friend, c) easily reach a friend.

Most of the people on my friends list are people I actually know, with the exception of maybe 4 or 5.

What if there are myspace whores? A lot of you kids on here are CC whores.

CC > myspace

it gives you knowledge and a shoulder devil saying improve your SAT scores dumass

.... what does myspace do for you NOTHINGG

i don't use myspace at all... i have a profile but there's nothing on it. the design of facebook is much nicer, although i don't use that much either.

i have a livejournal, but i don't write in it much (have you noticed a theme?)...but i love it. it's great for getting (and staying) in touch with people. and for posting silly quizzes, obviously.

Myspace annoys me...maybe I'm just oldschool, I've had a blog for 4 yrears and I see no need to switch.

how can you find out who views your photo album? is it possible

I don't believe you can. You can only track views on MySpace Events.

It took a while for me to get used to it and I've been on myspace for a year next month. I didn't have patience finding all these codes for backgrounds and stuff but it makes my page so personalized. LOVE.

Well I have a myspace now, but I got one to get in touch with someone.

I think myspace is a fad, and it's really pathetic if it consumes your life. I don't care how many comments or friends I have.

world's largest bar or club for young'ns...

I think its sad that people hate myspace. They just need to realize that they hate the myspace sterotype. I think most people use myspace in constructive way, most of which have been stated in this thread. Its the same kind of thing with every sterotype that exists in the world: some people may do it but its impossible to make accurate generlizations about any group of people.

Whats worse is when people hate myspace but then have some other account with another website. Its the same exact thing people!

I have a myspace and a facebook. I use both extensively to get ahold of people, share photos and generally waste my time.
