Myspace

The devil incarnate indeed. Millions have caved in to the overwhelming pressure of creating a profile. It's sickening, really. The site itself has questionable purposes. Everyone's getting kidnapped, especially those 13 year old girls talking to 30 year old pedophiles. You don't get anything out of it but several hours wasted on the computer.Yet people see the need to create profiles detailing their name, interests, personal thoughts and PICTURES...a name + a face = -_-...see where I'm goin with this? Ok, I can see the average idiot in this world doing something stupid like that, but when I see ivy league students/hopefuls (like the ones at my school), the "smart" kids, doing the same stuff, I just shake my head and say: where the hell did the world go wrong?

So if you have myspace, you are welcome to say what you want about me. You are also welcome to park off, you motherparking parks, and go park yourselves. But don't park in a handicapped spot (allusion to mind of mencia).

Well, it's gotten 10 times worse since Rupert bought it.

I'm gonna sound naive, but what is Rupert associated with?

Try Hell?

Jk. More like...Fox and News Corp.

I used to have a myspace, and at one point i was obessed over it; but after i got on academic probation because of it, I got rid of it and as of right now i'm totally happy that i did. Now i get the daily, hey check my myspace i just changed it, i usally follow with i hate myspace.

I actually find myself using facebook a lot more than 'space.

I agree. I think they're a waste of time which draws kids in to pedophiles. Although, it is kind of funny when people post pictures of themselves on it trying to look all "sexy", when they don't and end up looking retarded. lol

Never liked myspace. And I swear those myspace's picture angles are sickening me. People are trying to look "hot" or "cool" by having these angles with bunch of pictures in front of their computer. We can tell that they took it themselves in their room - I feel sorry for them.

I honestly believe that myspace has already plagued my sister. She's starting to slack off and spend hours on it searching through profiles and doing nothing when she could've at least done something productive. Myspace is nuisance.

facebook is cooler. Notice you'll never find the loser kids that have a million pictures that they took themselves from myspace on facebook.

Hey man, I look good with the angles :P

i think theyre fine as long as youre not a complete idiot with it. you can make your profile private or just dont put up personal info.

although i do hate how people take those mirror pictures or those "this is my pornstar pose" pictures. i feel embarrassed for whoever puts those up

how high are you up there on that horse?

sure, there are the idiots and posers. but if you're reasonably sane, it's harmless fun.

i do agree that facebook is better though. but i hear complaints from my college friends that it's value has gone down ever since they opened it up to high schoolers. haha.

facebook rocks! i actually find myself acting differently on myspace than on facebook. myspace is for fun, facebook is i don't know...just to talk to my friends. but i think myspace is safe if you're not a stupid 12 year old girl pretending to be a whore.

oh no, time to start up beef with daiikon...

HEY **** YOU PAL JUST BECAUSE I STILL HAVE MY HEAD ON MY SHOULDERS DOESNT MEAN MY HEADS ON A HORSE. YOUR HEAD MUST BE UP A HORSE'S AS$ EVIDENTLY. GO PARK YOURSELF.

yesyes i totally agree
well actually i still have one, but it's summer right now so i'm gonna play w it until the schoolyear starts then i'll get rid of it if i can't stop myself
but actually, to be frank, the kids at my school-including some who got into Yale, Stanford, and NYU, have myspace too-and they are sort of addicted to it.
I think it all just depends on how smart you are-not to put your adress, or phone, or wtv-and how well you can control yourself from the computer.

Everything in moderation, I suppose.

there's no 'point' of myspace- i have one, and if ppl give you comments and picture comments, u get addicted to it.

after i posted in big letters that im on a myspace break, ppl just stopped giving me comments. no comments, no clicking on my myspace to see if i got anything. no fun at all. and starting up the give-and-return-comments again feels so loserish.

so i dont use my myspace as of now, and im pretty happy.

Did any of you hear about the kid who committed suicide b/c of the power outages the last couple of days in the main processing center? WOW I see a lawsuit coming, lol.

Yea, I'm kind of ****ed about the outages too, but I'm not gonna commit suicide. I don't understand why it can be up one minute then down the next AFTER the poweroutages. It's been off and on the last couple of days.

It's not myspace's fault that kids are meeting pedophiles... it's irresponsible parents. As common as that sounds, it's true.

It isn't myspace's responsibility to make sure that our kids are safe, it's ours! Why don't parents teach their children proper internet ettiquete and safety tips? Geez. I remember in the days of Usenet and BBS's, you didn't hear about this. Why? People were smart (they didn't TyPe LiK dIs), used common sense... my God, what happened to that?
