heart just jumped, a little bit ago I couldnt make a bruincard, now I can! aw yeah. Starting to believe…

@norcaltransfer77

What does the upper right hand corner of my.ucla.edu say for you? I think that last year, seeing your major in that corner was a pretty good sign of admission.

hilarious how norcal couldn’t do it when all of us could and now it’s the other way around

I can still make a bruincard… What step did you guys go up to? Do you get an error message after you upload your photo or before?

Also, here’s another post from someone admitted about what he can see and what he can’t see. From earlier in this thread.

@JetLogic

You can see your major too, right? IIRC, you applied last year as well (1 year xfer) and were admitted to UCSD? I think I remember your GPA being pretty high.

^I completed the whole thing. They email me my UCLA ID # and this message

"Thank you! We have received your BruinCard application and photo. Your application will be reviewed as soon as possible. You will receive a status update with instructions on how to obtain your BruinCard within five (5) business days.

(Please note the online application is currently available for UCLA students, staff and faculty only. UCLA Affiliates must apply for the card in person.
But now when I try to apply for a card, it won’t let me.

@steve error message shows right away when I click apply

mine still says “summer session student” because I stupidly signed up for classes. I am pretty sure all this is because of that. That’s why I’m not jumping for joy.

seriously, housing app, financial aid, and seeing your major on myUCLA is the best indicators. I need to chill out I’m going overboard

Yep, I applied last year for UCB,UCLA, and UCSD but I was missing a grip of pre-reqs. I got accepted to SD, but I didn’t really want to go. My GPA is sitting at ~3.75 with an average semester load of 19 units + relevant work experience + a huge amount of EC’s. (Math major).

Yesterday I still had my old MyUCLA “summer session” status on the upper right hand corner and as of today it has changed to:

@jet sorry if this was asked before but can you see your financial aid award? and seeing your major at myucla is a pretty good indication. congrats

@philo Ahh, I wonder if it means anything? I’ve been following this thread for a while now. Getting pretty nervous!
I wonder if other people can still apply…
So far from what I’ve gathered, those who don’t have anything to do with summer session are unable to sign into myucla.
(I understand kitty didn’t intentionally sign up for summer session, but it somehow showed he was still in it)

I cannot see any of my FA information. My MyFAO page looks like

Hey guys! I can submit my bruin card application along with my picture! It let me crop it and everything. I’m applying to a really unimpacted major (about 14 people applied last year) and the average admit gpa is 3.2. I have a 3.1 right now and I was able to submit the bruin card application and it gave me a confirmation email also. I’m hoping this is good! I didn’t submit a fafsa though.

@JetLogic
Did you try clicking on “view financial aid awards and summary” and “view financial aid document tracking”?

@steve are your stats competitive? seems like it’s a good thing you can apply though…unlike us.

@jetlogic seems like they just haven’t gave u an award yet. but seeing your major on myUCLA seems to be a good indicator that you got in.

So some of you are able to log into MyUCLA?

@icarpet

what do you see when you click ‘apply for card’ now?

@ohyeaa10
I get a similar message.
“You do not have a Financial Aid Summary for this Award Period.”
“No Document Tracking Information available for this Award Period.”

I learned that the financial aid office closes at 4 PM so I’m guessing they have until 4 to upload awards into our URSA page also. just my guess
