MyUCLA web site

where would the SIR button appear?

in your URSA page.

I gathered, but where? is it in one of the columns or would I click something else to get there?

The SIR link will show up on the left hand column. Your URSA page will change dramatically when it’s time.

Wait, hold up, are we supposed to have this URSA page already? I didn’t get any e-mails to register for it or anything. o.0

make a myucla account and access your ursa page. most people make it before decisions are even out

…are we supposed to though? Wouldn’t they e-mail us to do that? Or do they only tell you to do this after they post the decision?

Most people do it before decisions are out. Doesn’t hurt you.

Eh… If it’s accessible before it’s supposed to be and UCLA can consistently see transfer students making accounts before they need to, why would they put any reliable information on there?

I think I’ll sit this one out and just wait for the decisions. Why stress out because some little signs aren’t there or get really disappointed if they are there but mean nothing? It won’t be long now anyway.

I don’t think it means anything. I can log in to the ursa and the financial aid portal. I also have the first picture. However, when I click on “Access myUCLA Class Planner” I get the error message saying it is for admitted students.

Everyone: I don’t think you need to create a my UCLA account to see if you got in or not, you just go to…

https://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Decision/Login.aspx

That is what they say to do on the UCLA admissions page.

^ they’re trying to find out before decisions are posted through whether or not they can see things on the ursa page.

Is there any quazi-reliable trends that we can surmise from past years/current information? I want to make an account and try but I’d like to have some parameters first.

JonnyL91, O I see. I doubt there are any secret ways to find out whether you got in or not before they actually tell you. Do you guys really think UCLA would really be that stupid? I guess they could make that mistake but I highly doubt it.

It’s not about being “stupid” or making a “mistake;” it’s about the fact that the system automatically changes when your admissions status or information changes on UCLA’s end. They obviously won’t send emails out prior to the release date, but students have been able to tell hours, or sometimes days, before by changes in URSA. None of the changes are 100% certain, although I’d say that seeing an SIR button is the closest indication thus far.

Smh…guys, it’s a few days. I’m super nervous about it too, but this seems a bit silly. Haven’t we worked too hard at cc to find out our admissions statuses through a few hints on a website we shouldn’t even be on? Do what you want, but you may end up getting very anxious if you don’t see the signs you’re looking for.

Every year we have a few of these! Eh, if it isn’t for you, it isn’t for you. Some of us enjoy thinking about the silly hacks, even if we acknowledge that they aren’t certain.

couldn’t have said it any better.

Can anyone see their financial aid SUMMARY yet?

Noooo! *** Last year ppl Started seeing tracking summaries around ten days in advance!
they better not have patched 'em up this year…
