MyUCLA web site

So i logged on to myucla is the white bar the one below your name?! :D

@chemnerd, that fact alone is not the top indicator (but it’s very, very good!!) can you see your finaid package in URSA and your major in myUCLA?

edit: chem, give it 30 minutes and “summer session” will appear, from there, transitioning to your major is a good sign

@philo, thanks :))))

Is there anyone who can’t apply for housing? I can apply even though I filed my FAFSA as off-campus (I guess we can change our mind later).

Still no MyUCLA though…

@justine
Thanks :smiley: UCSD is my top choice but UCLA is just as good :D

@oceanpartier, I can’t access the housing app. but, like philo said above, that doesn’t mean you’ve been rejected, it could simply mean that your information hasn’t been updated yet.

as for your finaid, can you see it in URSA?
and no worries about myUCLA, you can only see it if you messed around with summer enrollment

@chemnerd, both are wonderful schools :))) you’ll love either!

Oh I could see FA summary and document tracking since yesterday…just no actual awards and stuff.

So if I can access to my housing app, thats definitely a good news?

yes caboy26

@oceanpartier, what do you mean? can we get a screenshot? awards are a good sign, simply accessing the pages doesn’t mean anything.

@caboy26, it is a great sign, particularly if supplemented by URSA finaid awards and/or seeing your major in myUCLA

Well i didnt apply for any financial aid
also i didnt play with the summer school thing, which probably is why i cant log on to myucla?

all of that is exactly correct!

@justinetruant

I said I can’t see actual awards or anything (Calgrants, ect.). Just noting that fact cause some people can see those things right?

I don’t believe anyone has a FinAid offer yet.

@ocean, I’m aware . . . I need clarification, and a screenshot would help us with your personal situation in particular.

What people are seeing is a list, with either “complete” or “incomplete” and a rundown of the costs and expected contribution, with a sum at the bottom stating how much, effectively, will be covered. You can go through the past few pages and see exactly what that looks like.

If you can’t see that, then you don’t have the finaid indicator.

^I’m sorry for being so unclear LOL. That’s exactly what I’m seeing in my FA summary. I just didn’t elaborate. And my document tracking says complete too lol. Just like everyone else. Sorry to make you guys so jumpy xP

this is what your financial aid awards screen should say to qualify as a positive indicator:

Housing Status: Off-Campus
Financial Aid File Status: Incomplete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available
Cost of Attendance: $29,796.00
Student Contribution: $250.00
Parent Contribution: $2,443.00
Total Financial Need: $27,103.00

(differing figures, obviously)

EDIT: okay, well if you can see that, then you are golden ocean

i finally logged into that ursa page. I see the finaid summary indicating commuter and cost. Where am I looking for that white line under name? thanks!

I had heard that have a incompleted status for FA is even better than completed. because when it shows incompleted, it means you are randomly selected to turn in files. it is really impossible for they to require files from a reject.

@mestudystuff (good for you :P), the white bar is in myUCLA, not URSA

@wcwei, that isn’t supported by any evidence I’ve found; they both indicate that your finaid has been processed by UCLA. neither complete nor imcomplete is a better indicator.

I can access the housing app and even financial aid stuff on URSA.

Art history transfer from ccc - 3.6-something gpa.

Everyone who can’t access it - what shows up? Can you even get an account on URSA? Do you not have a 9-digit UCLA student ID?

I’m hesitant that this is really a positive sign.

In other news, The SSA screwed up my citizenship again and it looks like UCLA has not processed my financial aid because SSA said I wasn’t a citizen. Facepalm.
