it is not supported by evidences, but it is supported by logic (=
my FA is in completed status. anyway i think incompleted gives a better indicator.

Mine would be incomplete…I need full aid.

haha okay, there are a few things that I need to clear up here apparently, give me a second

So the reason I can’t login into myucla is because I didn’t apply for that summer session? Can anyone confirm this?

Incomplete means you were randomly selected for a verification. If in fact admitted to UCLA (which is likely IMO if you see incomplete…) then you must submit the request documents to UCLA’s FA Office. You did not necessarily do anything wrong…it’s just by chance. It’s by chance, although I suppose you’d be subjected to a check if something REALLY stands out.

I had to do this for my second year at UCI and a lot of my friends didn’t have to. BTW, there’s nothing wrong with having turned in “wrong” info if you weren’t blatantly lying on your FAFSA. UCLA won’t reject you if some of your info is wrong. They just need to check that you aren’t doing something outright shady. I got checked by UCI, before I got a chance to do my FAFSA updates (whoops, lazy) and I just had to submit a copy of my parents’ new tax returns. I was going to update my FAFSA right after, but UCI logged in and did it for me! LOL.

I can access to the financial aid summary, the bruin card application page(I was able to do it this morning but not right now tho… idk why), and the housing application : )

I can’t still log on to MY UCLA -.-…

Wish you guys the best luck! : )

p.s. I applied for East Asian Studies with 4.0 GPA.

@imnotfreud, EVERYONE can access URSA using the UCLA student ID given by the decision site. the POSITIVE indicators are: seeing your finaid award in URSA, accessing the housing app without receiving the “unsure of enrollment status” error, and seeing your major in myUCLA. so, yes, you have one of the positive indicators. I’m a bit confused about what you’re saying with regards to financial aid. you can see your financial aid, but it hasn’t been processed? that is contradictory. the financial aid award will be posted only if it has been processed; either you can see it or you can’t. hope that clarifies.

@wcwei, false. that is incorrect. I have reviewed the past 4 years, and every single year attests to that fact. if you want to do the research yourself, go ahead, but incomplete vs. complete means absolutely nothing (other than that the finaid office needs more information, which is in NO way indicative of better chances of acceptance)

@Bear! Congrats! : ) I js noticed that I have the same screen as yours!

oh jeez, everyone slow down, I have a lot to explain! hehe

@bear, yes, that is correct. you can ONLY access myUCLA if you messed with summer session, and there has only be a SINGLE exception to this rule in four whole years of the CC threads that I have meticulously scoured.

@wharton, the bruin card doesn’t mean anything, but the other two are GOOD good signs :)))

zoom into that…That has to be a good sign. They gave me a 9 digit code. BTW I got really effed on my FAFSA because I submitted my Dad’s info instead of my mom’s info. My dad and my mom are divorced and I’m on my Mom’s tax forms while my sister is on my dad’s. Anyways my dad was paying for my college tuition and both my parents told me that I should use my dad’s tax info because he doesn’t have a job right now. But I think they’re going to court to change my dependency because I just turned 18. Hopefully it all works out :/

Hm… I’m getting this on Financial Aid Document Tracking 2012-2013 of URSA - “FAFSA RECD FROM CENTRAL PROC Completed 2012-04-18”

So they received my FAFSA yesterday… good sign? :o

@bear, good sign

@itsgoodmetal, good sign

I wasn’t blatantly lying to FAFSA, I came across this complication because I had to submit my dad’s tax forms to USC and lone behold my name isn’t there. I went all Cartman “do you wanna **** me? I should be wined and dined before you **** me…” right after that…

Has anyone applied for the Regent Scholarship??

The office said that notifications will be mailed to each student at the end of May, when the Undergraduate Admissions Office notifies transfer students of their decisions, but I hope we will get the result sooner than that :(

My award hasn’t been processed, it says incomplete.

Under “Financial Aid Document Tracking” I have a bar that says “CITIZENSHIP MISMATCH- GO TO FAO”

It probably doesn’t mean anything. Fafsa ussually lists me as not a citizen and I always apply as a citizen.

@itsgoodmetal
Mine says the same thing :)

Thanks for the help J. edit: nvm I get an error at myucla login. let me figure this out!

@bear, hahaha

@wharton, regent scholarship calls were made last month, I think everyone who was a candidate was already notified. as for DECISIONS, however, well, yes, you have to wait until those notifications are released

@imnotfreud, if you get a list that matches what I posted a page or two back, then you have the financial aid indicator.

@mestudystuff, I’m not sure that you’re in myUCLA if that’s the message you’re getting . . . http://my.ucla.edu/ login here

i can access the housing app now

http://f.cl.ly/items/0V2v3v07242O2f3o1y1l/yay.jpg

:) awesome! that’s all of the positive indicators for mr. uckittychen now!
