MyUCLA web site

@UCkittychen, thank you!
from MyHousing page i clicked on “view your housing account” and then i logged in using the same id as ursa, then i was able to see my name, 9digit student id# and this,

Balance: $0.00
Account Detail: No current balance transactions to display

hope this is a GOOD sign!!

also, to further clarify some questions from the last page:

@metal, the three exceptions were students who we believe had lied, messed up their own financial information or, in the case of one student, didn’t have the required units necessary to transfer: a mistake which was, unfortunately, only caught by admissions at the very last minute

TO EVERYONE: if you cannot access myUCLA, DO NOT WORRY. this is normal. the only people who can access it are those who played around with the summer enrollment menu in URSA. this has been the case for the past 4 years, with only a single exception during that time. if you want help accessing myUCLA, read through this thread, or send me a PM.

if you’re curious about accessing housing, what we mean by a “good indicator” is the following: if you can click through “apply on-line,” select “single undergraduate student” and proceed to the next menu WITHOUT the “unsure” status, you have the positive housing indicator. this is a good sign, particularly when supplemented by the other two indicators.

groovy, i don’t know what you’re looking at, i don’t see anything like that…

this is what i see:

http://f.cl.ly/items/0V2v3v07242O2f3o1y1l/yay.jpg

@justine: thank you very much for organizing it, it is a great tutorial. It will be very helpful to the newcomers and next year applicatants

I can’t see my financial aid or document tracking. Its probably because i haven’t turned in my proof of citizenship yet. Meh.

@ sld122

I didn’t mess with summer stuff and I am NOT able to log into myUCLA.

kitty, what tab did you chose on MyHousing page?

[My Housing (1001744)](http://map.ais.ucla.edu/portal/site/UCLA/menuitem.789d0eb6c76e7ef0d66b02ddf848344a/?vgnextoid=0670064a9a7d1010VgnVCM1000008f8443a4RCRD)

i went on “View your housing account”

@moon, you’re welcome! and I hope it helps future applicants, particularly because the only reason I got all the information I have is that past transfer kids were kind enough to do the same :)

@jonnyL91, I don’t know enough information about that particular situation to speculate with any kind of certainty.

QUESTION: are there any other international students with the same problem? your insight would really help

@iMunster, that’s normal

@groovy, read my little description up there. you need to click “undergraduate housing application,” then click “apply on-line” on the right, select “single undergraduate student” and proceed. if you can proceed, that’s a good sign. if you get “unsure of enrollment,” that is the neutral/perhaps-not-so-good sign

@jonny: do you able to apply for housing?

@justine: want to give you a hug. =)

@groovy: did you try the apply online option on the right side after you click undergraduate housing?

groovy,

https://shib.hhs.ucla.edu/secure/myhousing/housingapplication/shib.cfm

@justine- what if you did mess around with the summer session but still cannot sign on to myucla? Yet, i can access my housing… UGH so frustrating!

@socal: did you just messed with summer session? If so, you have to wait about 10-20 min before you can access.

I didn’t click “summer session” the first time I registared and it wont let me make a duplicate account. So it is normal that I can only access the URSA page, right?

24 hour countdown begins :)

@kitty,
oh… i didn’t apply for that because i live in LA.
did see any news from the link i just posted?

about to take that nap citizen.

OH ok got it now! thanks!
But even now on myucla, all i see is the white bar. Did everyone see their major right away or do you have to wait a while?

you have to wait.

24 x 60 x 60 = 86400 seconds. That is going to be one of my slowest 86400 seconds in my life. =(
