@bear 4, why?

@uckitty, yeah, last year, one of three things happened:

1) access to housing app -> good sign
2) error message that said “housing application unavailable” -> ALSO a good sign
3) “unsure of enrollment status” -> not-so-good and/or neutral sign

so far, however, we haven’t had anyone report #2, so I haven’t brought it up

Justine, when you try to apply for housing does the error message unsure of enrollment come up for you?

BTW I really appreciate your responses and research on this topic :)

@justine
so if my housing app didn’t sa “unavailable” its a bad sign?! :(

@socal, I get “unsure of enrollment status” which, in the past, has indicated that I’ve either been rejected OR that the system hasn’t been updated yet.

@chemnerd, if your housing says “application unavailable,” that is a good sign! the only not-good sign is “unsure of enrollment status.”

I hesitate to say that anything is a “bad” sign, but the only things we know for sure are that certain indicators are good for acceptance; we don’t have any signs of rejection. if you DON’T have one of the “good” indicators, either you’ve been rejected OR, as I stated above, your information simply hasn’t updated in the system. this is not uncommon! :)

I would say that, overall, we are all speculating on past trends. However, none of us will know if we have truly been admitted or not until tomorrow! Let’s all keep our hopes high and our fingers crossed. (:

that’s true! anything is possible! we have to understand that we’re forming these hypotheses from past evidence, not current certainties.

they should just post decisions right now… i don’t wanna get rejected and it affect me at work tomorrow!

Justine, when you excess MyFAO do u see a No Request Financial Aid Document Tracking? I believe you posted this as a good sign way at the beginning of this thread?

@justine
you are so cool. so cool. thanks for all your help during this countdown week. wow, we made it through the day…

@socal, the finaid indicator is as follows:

in URSA, select “view financial awards summary”
IF you have an itemized list of costs and expected student/parent contribution with a total “expected need” sum at the bottom, you have the GOOD finaid indicator

everyone’s MyFAO is pretty random right now. there isn’t much of a pattern at this point.

I, for example, did not submit a FAFSA, so I don’t have the financial aid indicator. however, a month ago, myFAO gave me large, red error messages stating that I had no information, and that has since changed to normal lettering telling me I have no financial aid information available. this doesn’t seem to indicate anything other than, well, that I didn’t submit a FAFSA.

@northbeach, I seriously don’t know how I made it through today. I woke up this morning and thought it would last foreverrrrrr. :)

@bear
everyone cans ee your phone # xD

look atchu!

brb texting bear congratulations on accessing the housing app

@justine
hahaha i already have bear on speed dial JK XD

justine is that good? I actually got into the housing application. When I checked housing earlier it took me straight to the transfer screen with my UCLA ID, when I checked now it let me select from undergrad, grad, and something else and THEN took me back to that transfer screen with UCLA ID. I didn’t bother trying to get into the housing app earlier today though. Just some info we need to analyze for future applicants.

hahahah, chemnerd

Bearterritory Can I ask you guys how you access that page?

I’m pretty sure only you two saw that, plus it’s my cell and I’m actually in class. Perks of taking 26 units this semester -___-
