MyUCLA web site

you got to ursa.ucla.edu then you check your my housing and then click on Undergrad Housing Application :D

@bear, the housing indicator is as follows:

FROM URSA (very important) click “view myhousing” at the bottom of the middle column
click “undergraduate housing application”
click “apply on-line” on the right
select “SINGLE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT” (also very important)

if you’ve followed those steps exactly and it lets you proceed to the application, you’re golden
it also seems to be a good sign if you were given the 9-digit number at the top of the application, but I haven’t seen enough information about that fact alone to say anything either way

also 26 units ew

I don’t get how people take more than 20 units a semester… my cc only allows 20 units.

you typically have to petition to carry extra units. which I assume bear did, the crazy dude.

@bear
26 units? you’re not alone. I’m struggling from 23 units this semester…(my cc requires the petition for taking more than 21 units)
a boring semester that’s all about math math physics phsycis chem chem…
I’d never believed that I could not understand anything on the lectures before I took Modern Physics…

You are both officially insane

No i travel 35 minutes to another CC district to take more classes and run track

does anyone here work or have a social life with all these units? I have 14 units and i struggle…

Oh wow I still get the unsure of enrollment message when i try to apply but i typed in the url from bear’s screenshot and I was able to access the application

@socal, yeah, you don’t want to do that. typing in the URL circumvents the system, that is NOT the housing indicator. to access the housing indicator, you need to follow the steps I listed above. (also there are a few of us who get the unsure of enrollment message, myself included)

@chemnerd, yeah, I take 17 units and I work full-time, so I feel the pressure for sure

@bearterritory3: If you don’t get in (you will) I will cry tears with you. Your dedication is admirable!

CC is not that hard for me because I took AP of Calc, Bio, Chem, Phys and other classes that I’m taking now in high school.

I say we all form a mob of rejected people and go to UCLA !!

Oooh @bear, I can get there too : )

Not even, I was blessed. I don’t study at all. The only reason they would reject me is if they saw my FB or twitter and see what I do in my free time LOL.

@chem, instead, let’s form a mob of admitted people and go to UCLA!! Haha

@cleo
i hope i get in :smiley: my GPA isn’t too high… 3.63 :(

GPA is only part of it, lesser GPAs have gotten in

@bear, are you taking any courses online? or you are taking them all on campus. I did 28 units in one semester before, but some of them were online courses, but I can’t imaging taking that many courses with all these distractions (CC) going on. lol I already regrate for taking 15 units this semester. I can’t concentrate!

@bearterritory Yeah I took 26 units last semester, partied a decent amount. This semester I limited myself to 18 units to allow for transferitis and Coachella.
