MyUCLA web site

Got a friend who also isn’t likely to get in and reports not being able to see the housing app or the financial aid award.

please post “unlikely” stats for members and lurkers.

edit is justine on?

I didn’t submit a fafsa so I can’t see my financial aid. However, my major has shown up on MyUCLA (American Indian Studies). The average admit GPA last year was a 3.26. I am also able to access the housing application. My GPA is a 3.14 but I’ve had an upward trend. Any thoughts?

Carpet are you American Indian?

Those are definitely good signs. Fall 2011 has more applicants than this year, while Fall 2010 has similar amount of people applied. I say you should compare with Fall 2010 data instead. =) That year, the average admit GPA is 3.16, and you are right there. So I did say, most likely you are in.

My Financial Aid Document Tracking is completed, I can the housing app (didn’t go further than the page with the fill-in fields), and here’s my Financial Aid Summary:

Summary 2012-2013 Academic Year

Housing Status: Off-Campus
Financial Aid File Status: Complete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available
Cost of Attendance: $29,796.00

Thoughts?

@seanoh: Nope :smiley:

@moon9kittie: Thank you! I didn’t believe the signs at first. I thought it was too good to be true. :(

@iCarpet the fact you can see your major seems like you’re admitted.

@moon I can see all 3

@shortstuf do you mind posting your stats (major, gpa, etc)?

@carpet: i was about to say, if you were, you were 100% in. even if youre not your gpa is still around the average and youre seeing all the signs. youre in congratualtions

Philosoup: I hope so! Good luck to all of you!

What’s supposed to happen at 3 am?

myucla will update and hopefully we’ll see the SIR button and/or see “admit” next to our majors

maybe admitted sign in myucla and sir in ursa

@seanoh: Thank you!

So just to confirm, there are people who aren’t able to access the housing application right? If that’s the case, then it means that we’re somewhat in the clear. Why would we be able to access housing for the “2012/2013 Academic Year” if we weren’t admitted?

Wait, the SIR button/admit next to major is supposed to show up after 3AM? I thought a few people last year could only see it a few hours before decisions were posted? I hope it’s soon! :)

@iCarpet: ^^^ exactly, keep think positively like that. =)

wait guess you guys beat me to it

@sean you gonna wait for cal or going to sir right away?

So will anything happen for those of us that still can’t access myUCLA? I can access the housing application but still get an error message for myUCLA

wait. don’t think its in stone, were just guessing it might show it, its not guaranteed…
