Okay so I see a white bar instead of major, session, unknown and my housing msg has changed to a popup saying ‘the academic year you have selected is not available’ hmm

I cannot get accessed to myucla since yesterday :(

My Housing from URSA is unsure of enrollment…

Enough for a bad decision I guess…

okay :

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1135334-2011-ucla-transfer-applicants-decisions-only-thread.html

last year the message that EVERYONE who was accepted was:

“Application for Fall 2011 Unavailable”, very similar to the new…

more examples coming soon.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1118321-2011-ucla-transfers-central-thread-discussion-decisions-131.html

^when people who were able to previously access the housing app were suddenly getting the “Application for Fall 2011 Unavailable” message…

OKAY PEOPLE, APPARENTLY CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED:

I will repeat this until I am BLUE in the face:

POSITIVE INDICATOR: GOOD SIGN
NO INDICATOR: MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. not a damn thing. NOT having the indicator is NOT a sign of imminent rejection.

DO NOT CONFUSE THESE THINGS TO BE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE

and most importantly, best of luck to all today. I’m crossing my fingers for everyone on this board :)

@uckitty &@philo, yeah, the unavailable housing app message is one of the good indicators! :)

Ooh ooh… I got a pop up window saying “The academic year you have selected is not yet available for submission of housing applications”… You say this is a good sign??

@above, YES :)

“application is unavailable” is one of the GOOD housing signs! DO NOT WORRY if that is what appears.

the only housing sign that you do NOT want (simply because it is a NEUTRAL sign) is “we are unsure of your enrollment status” :)

Phew, that “academic year not yet availiable” thing freaked me til I read this lol

@kitty
thanks for the examples!! its making me SO excited :D

same here,

“The academic year you have selected is not yet available for submission of housing applications.”

I applied for Electrical Engineering with GPA ~3.73, IGETC done (included this semester).

:(

Maybe it require higher GPA this year. Got a C in Chemistry last semester and now it actually kills me :)

Everything has its own price.

@groovy, that’s fine
good sign :)

I’m getting the “The academic year you have selected is not yet available for submission of housing applications” pop-up box, which was letting me see the application for housing yesterday.

I can also see my Financial Aid stuff and the Document Tracking stuff.

My Webmail on MyUCLA and BOL email (mail.ucla.edu) works now. But on myUCLA, the bar that used to say my major just turned into a blank white bar.

notice the “not yet available”

i can’t access the email though :(

@orgasmic, listen to uckitty, he speaks le truth!

@kitty, don’t worry about the email. it’s sporadic at BEST. it isn’t an indicator at this point.

@mangochoko, hey mango, I haven’t seen any engineering majors here that have been able to see good signs with the myucla/ursa stuff. Even looking back last year, engineers had “unsure of enrollment” status for their housing app until the very end. I don’t think you need to worry just yet!

Quote from 2011 boards:

++++++++++For next 2012 +++++++++++++++

Once you cannot log in myUCLA (maybe after April 23~ 2012)
this is a sign that they are ready to release thier decisions.

Click “Apply for housing”
case 1 : “Applicants for 2012 are not ready yet” most likely … it’s a very good sign. 99% accepted

He says “unsure of enrollment” isn’t good, but we can’t know for sure!!

@cleo, all kids who were rejected for the past 4 years got “unsure of enrollment,” HOWEVER, we must not confuse this to mean that all kids who get “unsure of enrollment” are rejected. this is fallacious! it can simply mean your information hasn’t updated yet! :)

@justine, agreed
