<p>So I decided to log into myUM and it said that my application materials were received, etc. But I also noticed that I was given a student email alias (@umiami.edu). My friend who has also applied, logged in but found no student email address assigned to him. Does the email address assignment reflect my admissions decision for miami. Am I in?</p>
<p>The past couple of years, when accepted kids logged on they got a screen that said "Congratulations you're a Cane!" which kind of said it all. The acceptances also came out in random batches over a 2-3 week period. It's pretty early, so I don't think I would try to read anything into it yet. Good luck and try to say patient, the waiting really is the worst part. Did you apply ED or EA?</p>
<p>Also, yesterday I know there were some major problems with the myUM system, I agree with the stmt above, def. dont read into that.</p>
