<p>I have a similar question, too. So we don’t really have to know that much about the teacher/actually have talked to him/her before, correct? More so about what field he/she covers and what work she does, I suppose?</p>

<p>1) find a high-up professor in the department you are thinking of majoring in
2) find a paper that the wrote via google or more sophisticated methods
3) say that you found this paper and that the material interests you</p>
