Name discrepancy on Applications and transcripts? Please Help!

I hope I'm posting this to the right forum...

Hello,

I am a senior in high school, who is getting ready to submit her first few applications by December 1st.
All my life, I've always spelled my legal name with a hyphen, (ex. Jane-Doe Lee). My name is spelled this way on ALL of my SATs and school transcripts. But it turns out that my name on my Social Security Card does NOT have a hyphen (ex. Jane Doe Lee).
I just found this out a few days ago, and I am in the middle of a giant panic attack...
I haven't submitted any applications yet, and I filled out my CSS profile and Common App using my non-hyphenated name, as I heard that using the name that matches the SSC on financial forms is extremely important....

Could anyone advise me on what to do?
I am so confused, and I already asked my guidance counselor and another counselor about this, but they have been less than helpful.

Thank you!

A hyphen [ or lack of one] will NOT make a difference, so relax.

Happykid’s birth certificate and passport have a hyphen. Her SS card that was issued at the same time as her first passport doesn’t have a hyphen. I think it is just a weird SS thing that isn’t worth losing sleep over. But if you are, get your hands on your birth certificate, and see what that says.
