So when I took the PSATs in my sophomore year there was a weird problem and my name was somehow entered in wrong (my name is Natalie but they entered it in as Natai). Before I ever took the SATs my counselor and I called the college board and got my name changed officially. On all of my SAT I and II reports my name is correct, in all of my college mail my name is correct, all my applications it's correct...Well until I applied to NYU. Once I sent in my application and got the recognition email they referred to me as Natai. How do I go about fixing this? I don't want them to not match up my transcript. Also when I logged into their portal it said they received my SAT scores already. How could this be if my name is wrong? I'm just a little confused. Thanks

Haha, oh I am sure this same thing has happened to hundreds of other people in the past.

The best thing to do is to call the undergrad admissions phone number during their work hours and just explain to them that you think your name could have been entered wrong because your recognition email referred to you as Natai. They can easily check and just ensure that all of your papers are filed for the right person, etc.
