Name Tales

I stole this from another board: What is the story of your CC user name?

Mine is simple: I am a superhero by night and my name is tara. Maybe some of yours are more creative!

I read Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut a few days before they made the new CC, and I wanted a change of identity. The main character came to mind.

in my upenn creative essay, i was writing about my experience of being the vice president under arnold schwartzenegger. I talked about our bipartisan ticket - republican/bull moose and squirrel party.

Ahimsa- which means non-violence (inspired by Gandhi, the greatest man ever) and 48- the year of Indian independence.

My name is partly Matrix-inspired. But, also, I think spoons are... well... funky.

Avenue Q rocks my socks.

Somehow, I was just thinking about the bottled water commercial, the one with the song,"I feel pretty... and witty. I feel pretty and witty and bright !!! "
And there's a quote at the end (with a British accent) "Drink more water !!!"

yeah....pretty random

my initials are kob (kelly o'brien, i am one of the special few that lack a middle name)
crew is my favorite sport/ life
and 24 is my lucky number, i was born on december 24th
i know, how creative....

I'm into ceramics...hence, clay...

i just wanted something easy to remember. and my name is liz. and.. yeah.

Effulgent is a cacophonous word. Doesn't it just sound ugly? But it means "radiantly glowing."

I love what it stands for. Such an ugly word, such a beautiful meaning.

And, I first heard it on Buffy. Spike is my favorite character of all time from anything anywhere, and it became my fave word every since. Buffy also happens to be my favorite show of all time.

thisisliz, ahaha, my name is Liz too.

There happened to be a bottle of white-out near me when I was registering...yep. Hey kob, I was thinking of joining the crew team about Brown, but considering I've never rowed in my life, I was wondering if I could cut it. Do you happen to know how the crew team is at Brown?

I think mine wins the award for most boring...
My first initial is J, my last name is Marshall, and I will graduate in 2006.
Yeah, I win.

Lol, when I first saw your screen name, I had just listened to 42nd Street, so I thought you were a fan and your screen name was one of the starring role's names: Julian Marsh. Silly me!

crumflake... i got it a couple years ago when i first made an aim account
my name sounds like crumb, like a cookie crumb and well... it was in the morning and i didnt eat breakfast so i was thinking about corn flakes and POOF... out of my head flows CRUMFLAKE... and the legend was born ( i think)

hahaha Effulgent, i saw your screen name and i thought "SPIKE!" oh, do i miss that tv show.

I was reading Dalliance with the Damned, by Mike Carey. One of the story arcs in the Lucifer spin-off series from Sandman. Dalliance dalliance sounded pretty. Shortened into dilly-dally which describes me wonderfully well :)

you should read the poem Dalliance of the Eagles by Walt Whitman. It was funny in my sophomore AP English class (it's about sex)

thisisliz, a lot of Brown prospects seem to love Buffy. It's a shame it's over.

I mulled over it obsessively for years. Still mulling, actually.

James Marsters is god. Who looks that fabulous at 42 (43 on August 20th)?

Are you serious??!?!? Spike was in his forties?!?
