Oh my quote was from The Seeing Stone/u in the Arthur Trilogy by Kevin Crossley-Holland. deus.ex.machina even made a joke about it in neha1's thread, so I wondered why you all didn't recognize the quote.

And mcz, your quote is from Of Mice & Men, right?

"You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

To Kill A Mockingbird! Good ol Atticus. :)

yup! read it in 6th/7th grade... still love it :)

Great book...Anyway, "It was enough to make a body ashamed of the human race."

Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain. :)

Yep...This is from a poem, and it's probably very obvious, "For the rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels named Lenore..."

The Raven I presume.

"Yes, vanity is a weakness indeed. But pride-- where there is a real superiority of mind, pride will always be under good regulation."

Correct, Crypto86...

How bout this one - not too hard IMO:

"I hope she’ll be a fool—that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool."

Crypto-The Great Gatsby
desi_chick-Pride & Prejudice

ding ding ding sarorah

you guys should try my movie thread. it's not too hard :p

lol - i never watch movies. Last movie I watched in the theater was F 9/11 ;D

yup! Pride & Prejudice it is :)

Lately I've been watching more movies than reading books. I used to be this avid reader till I got to middle school. Kinda sad

I know what you mean, sarorah. I feel like the only books that I read are those that I am assigned to read for school. I try to catch up with my leisure reading over the summers.

Yeah my aunt says I should read at least one new book every month..but there's no time anymore.
