Does anyone know a word that means not caring what others think ? i need it for my uva " favorite word " essay thanks.

<p>Non-conformist is what you mean, but not the nicest word.</p>

<p>Somebody above said "individualistic," and I think that's a good choice.</p>

<p>Whatever you do, don't choose indifferent, apathetic, aloof, etc, if you want to get in, that is--these words have such a negative connotation...they're the very words the Republicans slandered Mr. Kerry with...they wouldn't put you in a positive light!</p>
