physics, linguistics, math, philosophy....or symbolic systems

there's so much to choose from!

Mathematics. Lookin at some applied math but i dont think Stanford has it. Anybody know? Maybe there's a concentration in a related field or somethin.

I said linguistics above, but now that i've looked at their symbolic systems program (after reading others' posts), I DEFINITELY want to do symbolic systems too. Exactly the science-liberal arts interface I like.

international relations/history/philosophy/symbolic systems?/english literature

human biology/public policy

Political science and philosophy (or Asian American studies) with a minor in International Relations.

This has been pretty techie-centric so far.

I'm sure that if we wait long enough, some fuzzies will post, but Stanford did make its name in physics, after all...yes, Stanford's humanities/libarts programs also stand out, but across the world Stanford is far more well known for its techie programs.

makes sense, accounts for techie/fuzzie tension at least

Interesting, political science degrees were fifth in terms of number awarded in degrees.

"I'm sure that if we wait long enough, some fuzzies will post"

English rules, all the way baby!!!:)

physics, maybe a minor in CS or some type of engineering

"English rules, all the way baby!!!"

You sure about that?

Just kidding.

I think.

Chemical Enigneering!!!!!!!!! Yea Baby

No one else . . . . ?

Economics

Btw, is there a minor as Finance?

a Bio-X program (likely biomedical engineering) and economics *

I'm not sure if this double major is possible, but I'll try!

Siavash7h, are you persian by any chance?

EE boys and girls.

ECNERWALC3321, why did you choose to do matsci at stanford instead of say MIT or Northwestern? I wanted to do matsci too, but Stanford's program isn't that strong, so I think I'll do EE but still deal with nano-electronics.

Paulhimework,
I am Persian! I moved to America a year ago...I live in Texas right now...

Woowwwww!!!

My real name is Pouya. I moved to America four years ago, and guess what! I live in Texas too (DFW area).

Are you a regular decision applicant? or early action?
