I can't narrow it down to top 10 without taking loads of time (even for me), but here are 10 albums that I wouldn't want to lose from my collection (not in any order, so sorry):

Allman Brothers - Eat A Peach

Dave Brubeck Quartet - Take Five

PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (however, if you wish to make it suck, just play it while watching The Wizard of Oz and trying to find coincidences instead of enjoying the music for its own sake)

Why do I not like radiohead? I mean, I realize they have a couple of amazing albums, and everyone I know likes them, but the only song I like by them is talk show host. Please, for those who put radiohead in ur top 10, name some songs I should d/l....I'm the type of guy who usually likes really good music to, so it has me flustered.

I don't really understand what the big fuss is, either, LaxAttack. Many of my friends are intense Radiohead fans, and cannot comprehend my cool neutrality toward their music... I've forced myself to 'like' their music for awhile... but now I've just realized that some music you connect to and some you don't. Maybe, to some people, Radiohead IS brilliant, but I personally just don't feel it. I certainly enjoy some of their songs, but I don't adore their music the way that so many do.

This is only some of their amazing stuff. the trick is you need to listen to it more than one time.

Ah yes, another radiohead fan. Definitely listen to the albums OK computer, Kid A, and Amnesiac a few times before you make any decisions about them. Obviously listenting to all their stuff is the best but to save time I'd go with those three previously mentioned albums.

This Binary Universe really has no innovation or anything to grab on to for an ambient album. Keith Fullerton Whitman makes amazing tonal music and Fennesz does the Glitch Ambient really great. if you dig ambient check out the artist Belong.

ps, this is for the OP mainly. I cant pick a top ten anyway

Areoplane over the sea - NMH
Sung Tongs - AC
Velvet Underground S/T
