Naming classes on application?

Hi,

The application that I am filling out says to put the class name, and not to abbreviate. With that said, our school has “Advanced Placement Calculus,” but in the description it says that it, “satisfies the criteria of AP Calculus AB.” Should I put it in as my school names it, or should I put it in as “Advanced Calculus AB?”

I would list any AP classes as simply “AP” – for your scenario, I would do this: “AP Calculus AB”

I’m sure they don’t want ppl to abbreviate b/c they don’t want to figure out what SocStud300 means. They won’t confuse “AP Calculus AB” whatsoever.

Okay  can I just put ‘AP’ or should I type out ‘Advanced Placement’?

Every college admissions office in the country will understand AP to mean “Advanced Placement.” As T26E4 said, that’s not the kind of abbreviation they are worried about.
