Hello I am currently a junior in high school in NY, and I am trying to decide what I want to study when i go to college. After taking a class trip to CNSE in Albany I've found nanoscience and its applications extremely interesting. I have always loved science and I've been taking accelerated math and science courses throughout high school. I've noticed that CNSE is one of the few schools to offer a specific bachelor's degree in nanoscience and nanoengineering. Is this too specific of a degree? Or should I go with a more general engineering or science bachelor's degree such as mechanical, chemical, material, etc. I mean i would love to do things in a field that is generally newer, but I really want to have the security of finding a job and one that pays well too. And would I most likely have to get my masters degree as well? If anyone had some insight as far nanotech degrees goes it would be much apreciated.
