nanotechnology

Hey I am in first year engineering now and have applied for second year to a bunch of schools for materials engineering with a nanotech minor, but i am right at the cut off 3.0 gpa.

so if this doesn't pan out do you think its best to get my diploma in nanotech engineering?

or get my chemistry degree and take like 3 classes in nanotech?

my province got approved for funding for all this nanotech research so its a good time for me to be getting into it. I figure anyways.

Nanotech is a pretty new field. Getting a nanoengineering might not be the best idea considering how many companies there are out there. Furthermore, last I checked most of these nanotech companies are looking for PhD Physics/chemistry.

It might be better that you stick in chemistry and take a few courses in nanoengineering without putting yourself in a deadend.
