Narratives on The SAT

I've been taking practice tests from the 1st edition of the SAT Blue Book, and it has slowly helped me improve. However, I have noticed that I tend to find the narrative paragraphs much harder than the argumentative ones. Should I be approaching these passages differently, and if so, what strategies would be useful?

Thanks

narratives as in like the story ones? the ones like where the black girl is talking about her mother or whatever?
Just try to find the author’s tone. like is she praising her mother? or is she insulting her? Look at the words she uses.

Yep those are the ones. These passages seem to have a lot more going on, and are harder than argumentative ones.

really? they seem to be way easier for me.

i use the same strategies for all the passages. works for me
