Narrow down a Biochem school?

I need help narrowing down this list for a major in biochem. My overall goal is to get into med school. Colleges are as follows:

U Chicago
U Illinois
Columbia
U Michigan
U Penn
UC Davis
Brandeis
Northwestern
NYU
Purdue University West Layfayette (In state, maybe scholarship)?

If the school has a good biological engineering program, another major I'm considering, it'd be nice as well. Purdue and U Illinois both fit this description, but I'm not sure how good their biochem is. Thoughts?

Wisconsin has best biochem in midwest. Great new buildings too.

Huh, interesting. It seems to be a fairly affordable university as well.

Does anybody else have some advice?

UW is ranked 3rd among schools with an undergrad major by US News.

The dept. now occupies 5 buildings in a small campus of their own.
