hey i was just wondering what other factors people use to help pick out which college they will go to. Well besides the obvious like its too expensive or i didn't get excepted. right not im a sophmore going to be a junior and i am completly lost. i have visited u of wisconsin u of michigan duke north carolina university u of maryland johns hopkins temple university of pennsylvania and u of iowa. I like all of the campuses i mean some of them have different feels but i like them all the same. what else do people look at to narrow down their choices?????

Other factors people can use are size, demographics, location, the strength of the programs offered, the workload, the political atmosphere, the party atmosphere, etc.

And if you are looking into schools like UPenn and Johns Hopkins, maybe you should learn that finances are an important part of a decision, you are not a “sophmore” but actually a sophomore, and that you get accepted into colleges, not “excepted”.

What are your stats? This way people on CC can tell you what schools are in your range.

I know how to spell… i was just in a hurry to catch my flight to Michigan. no need to be a know-it-all. Also i have never taken the ACT or the SAT so all i have is my GPA which is a 3.96 and a class rank in the top 10%.

Come back after you take the SAT/SAT IIs/ACT and post a full thread containing your stats/ECs/other factors.

Sorry if I sounded rude earlier. But your GPA is really good, and you should make another post once you take the ACT or the SAT since those are really necessary.

well i took several tests at my school that were supposed to project what you would get on the ACT and my range was for32 to 36!
