Narrowing Down

I’m a Native American student from Florida trying to see what schools I’m even in the range of applying for.

I’ve got solid ECs but no athletics and I’ll be the first one to attend college in my family.

If I’ve got a 3.75 gpa, in the top 1% or 2% of my IB Class, and got a 26 on my ACT, am I even in the range for Harvard, NYU or Georgetown?

NYU probably, Georgetown and Harvard probably not. You have to get your ACT up. Try taking the SAT, too, to see if you do better. Sad truth. I'm sure you're very smart and very qualified but scores really do matter. Not to say you don't have a chance, but there are a ton of great students like you who have all that AND the scores to boot.

This is a native american. This 26 is practically like a 31 for us haha. Umm of course a 31 isnt close to perfect though, either.

i wouldnt say NYU is much further down the ladder than Georgetown, if at all.

dunno at all what ur chances are. nobody can really tell you that but adcoms, whatever collegeconfidential may want you to believe. my underqualified opinion thinks that with native american status, youd get into both nyu and georgetown.
