Nass 07

how do you know if you got rejected? do you get a letter?

^^^^^
The admission office will send you a letter.

i didn't get a letter. i didn't hear from them for months. so at our congressman's academy day, i talked to the usna rep. she told me to call her the next monday. i did and she said i had been rejected, but since she had just gotten five openings right before, i could have one. you should call, you never now what could happen.
just remember, not getting nass does NOT mean you will not get into usna, plenty of people have been rejected from nass and received a direct appointmnet to usna the next year.

I'm still waiting to hear back whether or not I got accepted to NASS. The worse part is I am away on spring break and I have no way to check my mail. grrrr.

I was accepted to NASS for session 1 and a change of plans has made session 3 the only available period for me to participate in NASS at all.
I called in only to hear that seats are "pretty much set"--so if there are any others who still want a seating change out of 3 and into 1, please PM me.

congrats to all that are coming to summer seminar...i'm going to be detail...it'll be a good time!

My son received his acceptance letter a couple of weeks ago -- he's in session 2. He does, however, wear soft contacts. I thought I had read somewhere that these are not allowed at Summer Seminar (?)

I attended NASS 2006. Soft contacts were not a problem.

I even wore glasses a few days. That said, contacts were definitely better.

I still haven't heard. The anxiety is killing me slowly.

are there any people who got letters in the mail this late and still got accepted?
are the acceptance letters in large envelopes?

still waiting to hear.

Still plenty of time. Acceptances come in a regular #10 envelope as I recall. Ours did not come for another week or so. And he got a relatively early appointment. So keep the faith and don't read anything into anything as all you're doing is speculating about that which you are a rookie, beginner, novice. And that's what NASS is for.

And if for any of any of many reasons (many of which may have nothing to do with your personal strengths or lack there of) you might not get into NASS, see sentence #5 above and proceed in your application to USNA, confident that the correlation between NASS attendance and USNA appointment is not close to 1:1.

I called today and the lady said she can check my status and I'm innnnnnnnn!!! :D I'm so happy. And it's not even the real thing. I can only imagine how axious I'm going to be next year when it's the ACTUAL thing.

Session 2 -- anyone else going?

Acceptance letters are the well stuffed ones, because I got one this afternoon!!! Very excited! Let's hope school will let me go since I would be missing the last 3 days. I'm session 1 by the way. PM me if you want if your another session 1 person. (Or AOL too since I think my screen name's listed on here)

Well, I'm going to go outside and run around because 1) If I'm going to NASS, I need it! and 2) I'm just full of energy! I doubt I'll sleep tonight & tha't not good seeing that I have ACT tomorrow.

does anyone know if we're supposed to receive any other info/letters after we sent in all those forms? (power of attorney, accept/decline form, hometown news release)

You should receive one more, if I remember correctly, with gate information (if your parents are driving you), etc.

My son went in the first session last year and had an absolutely fantastic time.

I found out that I got excepted to Session 2. woo hooo

Wafflebear12-

Congratulations! Have a wonderful (and muddy) time!

Yo I just got in I'm going to Session 1!

Yay! Another session 2-er.
