Thought I would start this thread as I know many of you will have you kids starting to ship out within the next 24 hours. Fortunately we have just a 2 hour drive, but so much to do by tomorrow morning. Still need to double check the list to make sure all his gear is stowed away in the bag. With only a week to prepare the boy never did get his PT started. Hope next week is as fair in weather as this week has been.

Just arrived back home. Aside from his car not being allowed on base, no paperwork. Gate 1 closed. We were fortunate to park 1 block from gate 1 and then walk in with his gear. Tiny snafu on registration since he was late offer to attend, hence the reason for no paperwork. All original forms were hand carried.

Regarding pick up and closing the NASS Awards Ceremony will be at Alumni Hall 11:30 AM. Should be able to park on base. Pick up is at 12:30

Joe is in Delta, so he gets to trek up to 4th floor. I picked up a schedule while there. I can post if for those interested.

Today's Schedule

Annapolis weather was beautiful today!

hdhouse, its not 4th floor man! Its "flight deck". You'll need to learn some of the lingo this week while he's away or you'll not understand anything he says when he comes back home. LOL Just teasing.... Sorta.... The acronyms are a killer. The SDI & the POA & the RTO & the POPO! I still don't get it.

He'll be going to dinner soon & I bet he is having a ball!!

Flightdeck, got it!

Hope he was able to get something to snack on this afternoon. I'm a dad and didn't think to feed him before registration. Long time between breakfast at 9 and dinner at 6:30.

Tonight ought to be a blast, letting the kids getting to know each other.

i just got back from Session I, so I figured I could weigh in here.

if your son usually gets hungry, just tell him to nab some food from the table at dinner. its a little bit of a pain to hang onto all day, but you'll have time after formation at night and between lights out to snack. in my opinion, something along the lines of bread or bagels is good cause it packs in the carbohydrates you'll need for the next day.

That's what I did. I took a ton of cereal from the table and me and my roommates ate them at night. We also grabbed apples and bagels. One kids took the milk but I don't think he ever drank it.

The boy should be smart enough to figure that out for himself.

Talked to him for about 45 seconds last night. Me: "How's it going?" Him: "Lots of running" Me: "What did you do today?" Him: "Ultimate Frisbee, gotta go, got 2 minutes to shower" Mom & Dad: "Love Ya" Him: "Bye" click.

Typical, could tell he was tired. He must of slept well as text message this morning was update on World Cup. Be curious how morning PT went and how he fairs on CFA this afternoon.

Hey guys my daughter attended session 1 this past week. For comments and insight go to thread started as "Hey Nass Moms! Session 1" You'll pull some gems out of it. Hope all goes well for yours.

Son texted me yesterday, 1st what is update on World Cup. Later about his CFA, did surprisingly well considered he hasn't been training. I'm sure he will want to redo the CFA as he was not as prepared as he should have been. But he got above the "baseline" on all activities. Still needs to build that upper body strength.
