<p>Hey, no one from Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Rice, University of Michigan, or University of Chicago got in this year either. Those schools must not be very good either.</p>

<p>NAS memberships are not bestowed lightly. I'm glad that four UCs were so honored.</p>

<p>And for the record, if there's anyone at UCSD who deserves the NAS membership, it's Gary Cox. The man's done more for political science than anyone can imagine.</p>
