At least one school has figured out a way to give scholarships to students who would have made national achievement if the program had not ended.

I don’t follow. Auburn discontinued the National Achievement scholarships and are pointing students to their normal GPA + SAT/ACT based scholarships, which they’ve had in place for a long time. Nothing new there.
Sorry, I guess you are right. I was reading this when I was half asleep. :"> I was interpreting the part below as a way to give $$ to NA level students, but it is based on ACT/SAT not PSAT so it is different.
Students who may have previously qualified as National Achievement Finalists and meet the February 10 scholarship application deadline through AUSOM may receive consideration for a Freshman Scholarship based on their standardized test scores and high school GPA.
