<p>I don’t think the actual scholarship is related to the PSAT score. The score cutoff only determines whether the kid gets to semifinalist status. After that, they are looking at the SAT scores + gpa + essays. Also, the cutoffs vary per region, so that the cutoff for kids from states in the western US may be completely different than the cutoff for kids from states in the southern or eastern US.</p>
<p>Since my D received her National Achievement Scholarship ($2500) on March 1, my guess is that your son, Happy, unfortunately did not make it past finalist status.</p>
