National AP Scholar?

Is there any point in getting this your sr yr?

If I'm using the wrong name I'm referring to the 8 ap, 4 avg one.

not really

As a senior, there isn't much point to this award, since you will already be in college by the time you get the award (October?). For a junior, I would say that the value of this award has gone down since the CB changed the AP Award rules, but I think it's still worth putting on your resume or application.

The CB used to make a distinction between "half" and "whole" AP credits, and until two years ago, you need 8 whole AP credits to get the national award. After last year's AP tests were taken, the CB dropped the "half" test designation and made it so that any 8 tests got you the National AP award. As a result, the number of juniors getting the award grew from roughly 80 per year using the old system to over three hundred, with five sophomores and even one freshman getting the award.

haha a freshman got a 4 avg on 8 ap's...thats really something
