National Buckeye Scholarship for non-Ohio residents

@nurse66,

I applied Business and Management and got accepted. Either if you are doing honors, scholars, or just get into with a pre-business major, you are automatically considered for Fisher Direct. In better terms, you don’t have to apply to get into Fisher freshman year and skip some of the stress that comes along with it.

I’d really suggest contacting them ASAP since i’ve been getting multiple update emails from Fisher directors saying that Fisher Direct decisions will start coming out soon, as early as February.

Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions (even though i’m sort of clueless as well haha)!

Do you guys think there is a chance for me to get National Buckeye Scholarship even though my application was completed in mid december? My stats: 1290 SAT and 5% class rank. I’m US citizen living in Europe and I missed the priority deadline ;/

patman95 - htere may be a chance. The admissions website says that those that meet the deadline are given priority consideration for scholarships. This, coupled with a call I made to the Admissions office, leads me to believe that the funds are limited and those that meet the deadline are given the scholarship first. If there is still funding available, then those that did not meet the deadline may have a chance of receiving the scholarship.

My daughter also got the 15 k but no word of honors. Also in NJ.

I received national buckeye scholarship today! Super excited, from Virginia. About 3.6 GPA, 2000 SAT (640 reading, 680 math, 680 writing) 2 APs last year, got a 3 on AP lang exam and 4 on the AP psych. Taking AP Lit, AP Calc ab and honors gov this year.

DD2 received the letter yesterday - National Buckeye and Trustees! 4.58 WGPA, top 5% and 28 ACT. Previously had been notified that she was accepted to Scholars as well (didn’t apply to Honors). Can’t wait to visit the school.

I was deferred although my stats qualify me for National Buckeye Scholarship. Isn’t it automatically given to qualified students? Why do they list on their website the requirements for the scholarships if then they don’t admit qualified applicants?

I think that the deadline for application for merit scholarships was Nov.1st–didn’t you say that you didn’t get your application in until mid December?–maybe that’s why–it says on their website that late applications will not be considered.

My son will be applying next year. Does ‘diverse’ just mean out of state or are other factors important?
