Income: 32,000-$34,000 single parent household. My mom died and the funeral costs ate up the budget. It is only dad and I. I am applying because I cannot even less than half a year of the elite institutions I want to attend.

I cant afford even less than half a year at the elite institutions I want to attend.

@CourtneyThurston can you chance me?

There’s no reliable way to predict this. Dire financial need matters a lot.

Move ahead with the application process. You have strong credentials. The only way you’ll succeed is by trying.

If your income is really that low, you should not be paying even close to the sticker amount for these colleges. Have you run the net price calculators?

I’m pretty pretty sure you’ll be a finalist. I have very similar credentials and was a College Prep Scholar (like a finalist, but during junior year)

Give it a shot. If you don’t match you can move your application to ED or RD. I believe most of the schools are meet need schools so you might get really good aid.
