That’s it for now, happy applying! I am personally going to attend Arizona State University, the honors dorms are beautiful! I am not sure of the deadlines for all of these universities, so you may have to check up on that.
Birmingham is actually investing a ton of advertisement and outreach for NHRP students too, it looks to have a nice honors program!
Can you tell me for Northeastern and Alabama who do I contact for the Hispanic Scholorship? I am out of State. My daughter was accepted to UPITT, Oregon, Emmanuel in Boston. We really need assistance and scholorships are covering 12-21K. Leaving 14-26K I have to cover as parent in loans.
@Mara74, your daughter is a senior? Has she already applied to Northeastern and Alabama-Birmingham? The application deadline for Northeastern would be long past. Did she list NHRP under the awards section on her apps? The contact info is all there on the websites - if you have questions, I’d call the financial aid offices and tell them you’re asking about a national scholarship.

Notice “up to”. I am guessing either a need-based component or a competitive component.

Mississippi State - Full Tuition
Great school and excellent engineering program
Boston University
-Students recognized by the National Hispanic Program who have exceptionally strong academic records will be considered for the $20,000, renewable, Boston University Presidential Scholarship.
Northeastern
-I spoke with someone at Northeastern and they mentioned that the amount for 2019 may go up to $37,000 for NHRP. They told me the website is not updated for 2019 (as it still lists April 2018 date for deadline and up to $30,000). Take this with a grain of salt. I called Northeastern at least 2-3 times and it was hard to find someone who even knew about this, let alone had any kind of expert understanding of it… But should at least again be up to $30,000 for 2019.
University of Richmond
-$750 to $2,000
What is the process with Arizona State once you have been admitted to let them know you are National Hispanic Scholar? Do you fax admissions or the financial aid office the award and letter?
