<p>I am filling out the Award/Honors sections, and I am having trouble thinking of awards. What type of awards do you have? What type of awards is expected of someone who gets into Harvard/Caltech/Stanford? </p>

<p>Also, I am a National Merit Semifinalist. However, is it okay if I write down that I am a National Merit Finalist? This is because 15/16 Semifinalists become finalists, and you are guaranteed to become a finalist if you simply complete the application and have acceptable grades/SAT (which I meet).</p>

<p>If you are a NMSF, then that wi what you should write. Rest assured that the adcoms at every school will know the National Merit Corporation’s schedule and the odds that a NMSF becomes a finalist.</p>
