What can I do if I forgot to turn it in yesterday?

andrea, sorry I didn't make it back to you before the deadline (yesterday?), however, either one you decided on is likely fine. As I recall, UW requires several essays for their honors, so I don't know if NM designation will be an additional help or not. I don't think it matters what you put as major or career choice as they know that most kids change their minds.

Don't sweat it too much, this is really just a small part of the application puzzle. You've done a great job in qualifying for NM, just be sure to turn all your paperwork in to them on time.

I had to keep hasseling my D to get her essay in, reminding her that it didn't have to be a masterpiece, just something reasonable as most semis make finalist if they turn everything in and that it was unlikely she'd get any money from them. We were surprized and happy to find out that she got a one time 2.5k NMS scholarship to the school of her choice. So, you never know.

altfive, I'd call up the NM folks and see if you can fax it in to them asap.

i dont quite get the terminology when you say a school is a "reach" or a "match". does "reach" mean the school may be out of your league while a "match" means youre in for sure? also what does it mean when somebody says is a "high match" or "high reach"?

I didnt send one. Does it affect anything at all?
