I'm a senior who took the PSAT last year and got a score of 216. That would put me in the commended category, right? I, nor any of the other students at my school with similar scores, have gotten any sort of information regarding a confirmation that we are, in fact, commended. I'd really like to put it on my college applications. Should I have already been notified? Is there any way I can contact someone who would know?

What state are you in? With a 216 score you’re NMSF in most states!

I’m pretty sure you should’ve already been notified if you got commended or NMSF status. All my senior friends have

Check your score against your state cut off. You may be a semi-finalist. If you are you will need to do an essay and a couple other things to qualify as a finalist. There are deadlines to be met to make that happen so hustle to your GC and find out. Don’t wait to hear from the GC – things get lost on their desks.

You are definitely Commended, if not NMSF. Congratulations! Check with you H.S.

I got a letter from my school in the mail about a week ago saying that I was a commended student. The cutoff for my state was 219, unfortunately :(

I believe you qualify for Commended just about anywhere; However, the deadline for Semi-Finalists to submit their essays and shiz was the 12th. I believe.
