I really appreciate that people took the time to make this list. I am so happy to have made the cutoff!

MA Cut Off is 224

From the package it mentioned that, so far the highest cut off score

cutoff for illinois is > 215, so the new range is 216-218

(we've got a 215 that didn't make it and a 236 that did here)

Heard Pa's cutoff went up 5+ points. Don't know the actual #. Is that the highest increase this year? There will be a lot of disappointed students in Pa.

we need more info for michigan.

Simranchawa, didn't you find anything out at school today? My daughter didn't hear anything, so I took that to mean, that she did not make it.

awwww......so 210 isnt good enough? :(:( My school simply said that they didnt get the papers yet. I think that the schools are not supposed to tell until September 13th, so unless she asked, they probably didn't tell her? .....In any case that sucks.

long road-
did you mean it went up by 5,
or up by 5 or more?
thanks for any info.

Don't be discouraged, she did not ask, I have not told her about this board, wanting her to hear in her own time, if she made it or not. So, maybe our school is holding them back until the 13th, or something too.

Re: PA cutoff
All I heard was that it went up by at least 5 points, maybe more. That means this year's cutoff is at least 220, maybe higher.

Does anyone have any additional info on South Carolina?

It seems that Texas is pretty much certain...I received a package from my counselor today, and she confirmed that the Texas cut-off is at 217. :)

Does anyone have any more info about NV cutoff?

Just wondering but don't you have stuff to fill out by the 15th of this month and if they don't announce who made semifinalists until the 13th, won't it be a little rushed?

wow.. you sure about PA?

I think some schools may be misreading the NMSQ letter. It says that the info is only confidential OUTSIDE of a semifinalist family. On the other hand, if you are NOT a semifinalist, the info is confidential for you until Sept 13.

A lot of schools take their time in telling the students especially if school just started. They don't have the time to call the kids down to the principal during school till they're completely organized.

Congratulations to all who got NMSF and those lucky ones who get scholarships! :)

Sorry, the counselor told my daughter she made it at 214, but she had to go in to see about a schedule change -they didn't call her in to tell her and wouldn't give her the packet until they finished whatever they were going to do with it. She still doesn't have it. Your school may be doing the same so maybe you could ask the counselor.
