Hey,
I was just wondering: one of my parents works at a national merit sponsor, so would it be possible to get both a university sponsored scholarship and a corporate sponsored scholarship, or can I only choose one or the other?
Thanks!

No, you can get both. The only caveat I know is that the corporate sponsorship needs to be spent on tuition, fees or books ( or at least that was what my DD had to sign) not room or board. In other words, nontaxable items. My DD did take a full tuition plus fees scholarship, so her corporate scholarship is paying for her books.
This is how it often works…
the colleges offer BIG NMF awards, but only a TINY portion is “official”…so you give up the “tiny” portion, if you also want to collect the corporate one.
When my son accepted Bama’s NMF award, the “official portion” was (then) $1000/per year. Therefore he still got to get the free tuition, free housing, etc (the offering at the time), but he gave up the $1000 per year because the Corporate award was $2500 per year.
