I am waiting on the decision for National Merit Finalist. Can anyone tell me whether they have heard back/ slash when people typically do? Seeing as one of my top choice schools, which I've been accepted to, offers an automatic scholarship for finalists, I really am anxious about this!
Thanks!
P.S. how much do you think this helps chances of being accepted to an ivy? thanks!

See threads on this topic in the Financial Aid section under National Merit Scholarships. Letters for those who didn’t make it are already out. (Those who were rejected had unweighted GPAs below 3.5 and/or C’s, D’s on transcript, inconsistent grades, SAT scores under 1960, disciplinary problems/suspension. . .if you didn’t have any of these issues, you should be safe.)
It seems that if you haven’t gotten a rejection letter by now, you are probably a finalist. A significant percentage of Ivy applicants are finalists, so it probably won’t help much there.
