When are Finalists notified about whether or not they're getting the scholarship? I'm getting a tiny bit impatient... That March-May timeline on the official site isn't easing my nerves. Any idea when they were announced last year? I've been digging through the CC archives and I've found nothing.

I can't find anything either...darn...I've been waiting too. Well, good luck!

i believe in april ish

NM Scholarships offers are mailed March 24.

NMSC began mailing out notices for the corporate-sponsored awards early this past week

Warblersrule: how do you know it is the 24th? I hope we get this!

Good luck to everyone! crosses fingers March 24 it is.

I got mine yesterday... It was the business sponsered scholarship for $1000 a year though.

Check your Semifinalist packet, darkofnight. There was a very specific timeline enclosed. NM-sponsored scholarships are mailed March 24; corporate-sponsored scholarships were mailed March 9.

... :) I still havne't gotten anything. I guess they decided I was an unwanted fluke in the system and kicked me. :)

There goes money down the drain. sigh

polonius - don't give up yet - you would only have heard about the coporate-sponsored awards if you were eligible.....parent works for a company that participates...or maybe a large corp. is headquartered in your area and gives $$ to students in the community, etc.....this is probably the smallest piece of the NMSC pie in terms of number of awards.

well i don't need a whole lot. Antyhing would be good atm. :)

Of course you all know that there are a number of schools at which you can turn your NMF status into a four (or even five)-year full ride?

gadad - hah! I wish! Not at any of my schools.

March 24th mail out date - is this just the corporate scholarships or all of them?

I am a National Hispanic Recognition Finalist (National Merit for us stupid hispanics :)) and I have a 12K scholarship from my college automatically... Many colleges automatically give scholarships to NMF and NMSF if they go there
