National Merit Semifinalist Qualify Scores -- Class of 2012

We are in PA–I called my GC and asked if he had any info about NMSF for our school. He said he was not allowed to announce it until 9/14, but hinted that he “has a suspicion” that my son made it with a 215. Don’t know how to take that…

a girl at my school in colorado didn’t make semifinalist with a 214, therefore the cutoff is 215.

I’m in Nevada, got a 208 on the PSAT (went down from sophomore year! -_-), really hoping the state cutoff stays the same or decreases from 2011 cutoff…

^^ Only boarding schools have a separate, higher cut off, not private schools.

New York: 220, didn’t make it according to counselor.

Looks like Samsting needs to contact his GC…unless he goes to one of those elite boarding schools. Just going to a “private school” doesn’t make a difference.

D in Illinois just got letter from National Merit Corp - she is in as semifinalist with 216
