National Merit Semifinalist - SAT scores needed

I have read the requirements for advancing to finalist from semifinalist in the PSAT/NMSQT competition. When they say "acheive SAT scores that confirm the PSAT score", what do they mean?

I received a 226 on my PSAT. What score do I need to get on the SAT in order to "confirm" my score? With two 800s, I am concerned about replicating my PSAT results on the SAT.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

anyone have any insight at all?

Haha, don't worry about it.

They just want to make sure you didn't guess and get lucky on the PSAT. I think anywhere above a 2100 shouldn't bring up any questions.

I'm sure you'll do fine on the actual SAT with that excellent PSAT score.

They want to make sure you didn't just get lucky, as the above poster said, and they also don't want to make sure you cheated. Getting a 236 on the PSAT (at my high school, a lot of people cheated on the PSAT, because we had to squeeze a bunch of students in a cramped library), and then getting a 1900 on the SAT would be pretty suspicious...

So don't worry.
