<p>I scored a 231 on the PSAT and a 2230 on the SAT. Based on my state's history, I should be a good 15 points above the cutoff for semifinalist. With these scores, what are my chances of becoming a finalist?</p>

<p>Becoming a Finalist is independent of your PSAT score. You have to meet a list of qualifications:</p>

<p>You should be pretty set. I think it’s safe to say you’ll become a semi-finalist with your PSAT score, and then you just have to make sure that you submit your transcript, essays, SAT scores, etc. by the deadline. As long as your grades and everything else are on par, you should become a finalist. Nice!</p>
