My son is a National merit finalist who committed to UMD 10 days or so ago.He changed his first choice to UMD on the NMSC portal. As UMD is a National merit sponsor college, I am hoping he will be awarded some money.Has any body else whose kids are finalists awarded any money from UMD this year?If so when did you submit your college choice on the portal and when did your award show up on the portal?Please let me know. Thanks!
Update…son finally received a $1000.00 award from NMSC renewable for 4 yrs.We only submitted our college choice on the portal end of April. Hope this helps out anybody looking for info next year.
